First Pres Community –

THIS SATURDAY is our ANNUAL HOLIDAY FESTIVAL.  9am to Noon.  25 vendors with lots of great Christmas ideas.  Childcare is provided.  There are door prizes.  Breakfast is available at 9am suggested donation of $3).  As a caring gesture, many bring donations of laundry detergent to support our neighbors at John Calvin Manor.  This is a great outreach opportunity as our building is full of people from our LS community.  Everyone is invited!

This Saturday is also the Men’s Breakfast Group at 7:45am downstairs in the Center Room.  (After which, the men can go upstairs and shop.)

THIS SUNDAY, “Loved by God” will be the sermon at both the 9am and 11am services.  10 am begins our Faith and Fellowship Hour, Sunday School for all ages (including 5 adult classes).  Nursery care is provided all morning.

TONIGHT.  Logos from 5:30-7:30pm.  Youth Group, 6:30-7:30pm.  Bells at 6:30pm and Choir at 7:30pm.

Next Monday is Veterans Day.  May we each give thanks to God for them all.

Next Wednesday (the 13th) is Logos Veterans Tribute night.  A special dinner will be served at 5:30pm, along with speakers, Patriotic Hymns, and a reading of “In Flanders Field”.  All children and youth are invited.  Everyone in the church is invited.  And a special invitation is extended to all veterans in our church family.  Sign up in the church narthex by next Monday.

Looking ahead:  Sunday, November 24, is our 10 AM Combined Worship Service!!!  Special fellowship time of pumpkin treats beginning at 9am.  Then at 11:11AM, our ANNUAL MEETING will be held. The 2020 budget adopted by Session will be presented, the Pastor’s Terms of Call will be voted on, and the election of new Elders and the next Nominating Committee will be held along with any other necessary business.  Annual Reports for 2019, 2020 Budget, Terms of Call will be available Sunday, November 17.  All members are expected to attend…everyone is welcome.

Lastly, Mission Action Team is holding a Coat Drive throughout the month of November.  As it turns cold out there, we need to think of others and all who are in need.
