Novembrrr. Hopefully by the time you read this it will be a little warmer.
First, thank you to all who participated in the Holiday Festival held at our church last Saturday!
TONIGHT is Logos Veterans Tribute night. A special dinner will be served at 5:30pm, along with speakers, Patriotic Hymns, and a reading of “In Flanders Field”. Many are signed up, should be a wonderful evening.
Also, TONIGHT – Bells at 6:30pm and Choir at 7:30pm.
Tomorrow (Thursday) – 530-7pm Visitation for Bob Perusich; Celebration of Life Service at 7pm. Both at the church.
THIS SUNDAY, “Keep On Keeping On” will be the sermon at both the 9am and 11am services. 10 am begins our Faith and Fellowship Hour with Sunday School for all ages (including 5 adult classes). Nursery care is provided all morning.
Also, THIS SUNDAY – Pax (“peace”) Clinic will be offered at our facility, 1-5pm. This free medical clinic provides the opportunity for anyone in the community to be seen by a physician and receive care. Rosemary Steffenelli is coordinating our volunteer greeters for anyone want to help out.
Also, also THIS SUNDAY – Annual Reports for 2019 should be printed and out as well as the 2020 Budget and Pastor’s Terms of Call. These are for your information and preparation for the Annual Meeting.
Sunday, November 24, is our 10 AM Combined Worship Service!!! Special fellowship time of pumpkin treats beginning at 9am.
Also, SUNDAY NOVEMBER 24 at 11:11AM, our ANNUAL MEETING will be held. The 2020 budget adopted by Session will be presented, the Pastor’s Terms of Call will be voted on, and the election of new Elders and the next Nominating Committee will be held along with any other necessary business. Nominated to serve as Ruling elders are: Class of 2020: Don Buss, Donna Haines; Class of 2021: (1st term) Colleen Akard, Lee Arnold, Russ Headley, Barbara Muckey, Michael Murphy; Class of 2021 (2nd term) Tom Beaver, Lance Dwyer, Becky Gordy, Randy Stone. Nominated for the At-Large representatives to the 2020 Nominating Committee are: John Ball, George Bandre, Jessica Dwyer, Katie Murphy. All members are expected to attend…everyone is welcome.
Also, also Sunday, November 24. After the Annual Meeting, there will be The Hanging of the Greens as we get ready for Christmas.
Lastly, Mission Action Team is holding a gently used Coat Drive throughout the month of November. Since it is brrr, think of those who may need one. Also lastly, the Angel Tree is now up for Christmas Gifts we give through Lee’s Summit Social Services.
