First Pres Community –

Christmas may be 2 weeks away, but it kicks in around here TONIGHT (Wednesday).

TONIGHT, Logos gathers at 5:30pm then goes to John Calvin Manor to mingle and to spread Christmas cheer.  At 6pm, a dinner prepared by our Men’s Group will be served.  Following dinner, our children and youth will carol our guests.  Christmas cards from our church, prepared by our Mission AT will go to all residents.  Everyone is welcome to join the festivities.

TONIGHT, Bells will be at 6:30pm and Choir will be at 7pm (note the earlier time).

TOMORROW, the LSHS “Sounds of Summit” will perform in our Main Sanctuary at 11:30am.  Lunch (for $5) will follow in our Fellowship Hall.  This Keenagers annual event is open to all.

THIS SUNDAY, our Chancel Choir will perform the Christmas Cantata “The Silence and the Sound” at the 11am service of worship.  At the 9am service, the sermon will be “The Song of Advent”.  At both services we will light the Advent candle for “Joy”.  During the 10am, Faith and Fellowship Time, Sunday School classes are offered for all ages downstairs.  Nursery care is lovingly provided all morning.
